Best of Flag 2026 ยท Guided Tour Company ยท Voting closes Saturday, October 31
Howl-O-Ween is created, hosted and paid for by Freaky Foot Tours, a mother-and-son tour company from downtown Flagstaff. Best of Flag is the Arizona Daily Sun readers' choice vote, and staying on that list is what keeps the parade free to watch. Two ways to vote, under a minute each.

Two Ways To Vote
Voting closes Saturday, October 31. Do one now and the other when you get a second; doing both goes further than you'd think.

How A Vote Helps Howl-O-Ween
That is by design. Here is how one vote for a tour company turns into dogs in costume on a closed street next October.
Howl-O-Ween is created, hosted and paid for by Freaky Foot Tours. The closed block, the permits, the tent, the printing and the hours all come out of the tour season, and 100% of the event's profits go to High Country Humane.
Best of Flag is decided by locals, in print, once a year. When a traveler sees it next to our name they book local, and a locally owned company booked solid in October is a company that can close a street for dogs in costume.
To grow the parade we are starting to apply for community grants and sponsorships for 2027. A readers' choice award is exactly the kind of local proof those applications ask for.
Howl-O-Ween has run on the tour company's own money and a lot of volunteer hours since the first parade. Freaky Foot Tours has walked downtown Flagstaff since 2015; the parade is the company giving an afternoon back to the town that votes for it.
Make 2027 Possible
One Saturday a year takes a crew of people the rest of the year. Tell us how you want in and we will reach out when planning starts.
Grants. We are starting to apply for community grants and sponsorships so the parade can grow without leaning on one small company. If you work for a foundation, a business that sponsors local events, or the City, or you have written a grant before and would show us the ropes, use the form and say so. An introduction is worth a lot.
