We guide ghost, history, mural and Route 66 walking tours in Flagstaff, Tucson and Prescott. Every tour is customized by the guide who leads it, so the job starts with your voice and what you can hold in it.
Now Hiring Storytellers Across Arizona
Arizona is a land of wild west towns, whispered legends, and larger-than-life history. From ghost stories and true crime to vibrant murals and folklore, every corner of the state has tales waiting to be told. *We need storytellers to bring them to life, and that’s where you come in.* We’re Freaky Foot Tours, and we hire storytellers. In each city we serve, our guides turn history, hauntings, and local lore into unforgettable experiences for guests from around the world. Whether it’s a ghost walk, an art tour, or a historic pub crawl, our guides are the heart of what makes Freaky Foot Tours award-winning and original. Tours are roughly 90 minutes long and pay starts at $50 per tour (plus tips!)
What You’ll Do
- Lead ~1.5-hour walks (~1 mile) for groups of up to 25 guests
- Bring haunted history, eerie legends, or local art to life through storytelling
- Keep groups safe, engaged, and immersed in the moment
- Represent an award-winning Arizona brand with deep community roots
Who You Are
- A natural storyteller or performer (teachers, actors, comedians welcome)
- Clear, confident, and engaging. Able to captivate without lecturing
- Dependable and punctual for scheduled shifts (we operate year-round)
- Curious, coachable, and community-minded
- No tour guiding experience? No problem, we provide training. What matters most is your voice, your curiosity, and your reliability.
Extra Bonus Points (City-Specific)
- Flagstaff: Familiar with Hotel Monte Vista, Weatherford Hotel, Orpheum Theater, or NAU legends
- Tucson: Familiar with Hotel Congress, Barrio Viejo, or Tucson’s mural/art scene
- Prescott: Familiar with Whiskey Row, Hassayampa Inn, or Elks Theatre
- Background in hospitality/tourism, improv, or bilingual skills
- Local connections to universities, colleges, or arts communities
