    Southside Flagstaff Haunted History Tour

Before the famed Route 66 carved through the heart of Flagstaff, the Southside thrummed as a notorious Red Light District, a hive of outlaws, gamblers, and spectral secrets. Today, this area has evolved into a hub of local restaurants and businesses, yet it retains the whispers of its mysterious past. This tour invites you to walk the eerie echoes of a bygone era alongside the lively spirit that now defines the Southside. Dig into chilling tales at landmarks like Hick’s Boarding House and the Historic Brewing Barrel House, where history and modernity intertwine. As you walk these storied streets, you’ll uncover hidden chapters of history, palpably alive amid the area’s present-day activity. The full, haunting story of Dutch May, a well-known madame whose life met a shadowy end, is told only on this tour, a rare glimpse into a figure marked by both prosperity and mystery. Book today and peel back the layers of Flagstaff’s past.

This is one of our own tours. We are bringing the Southside walk back as a private tour: you pick the date, and the meeting point is arranged with your group when you book. The route covers about one mile in 90 minutes, past sites like the Old Anderson Building, and we do not enter the historic haunts. Private bookings start at $300 per group, with a full refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours before your tour date.
