Boston Haunted History Self-Guided Walking Audio Tour is a two-hour self-guided audio walk from Stories with Action, booked as a private activity and starting from $14.99 per person at our August 2, 2026 check. There is no live guide and no group: you walk the downtown Revolutionary core on your own phone, past seven listing-named stops, four of them flagged as pass-bys. The evidence base is a single Viator review at our August 2, 2026 check. One review is not a rating, so we print no score for this listing and leave it out of every comparison on this site.

Who it suits
Independent walkers who want a two-hour narrated route through the downtown Revolutionary core at their own pace and on their own phone. It does not suit anyone who wants a live guide, a group, or a verified answer on ages and accessibility, none of which was captured on the data we checked.
Three corrections are worth carrying with you. Two of the seven stops are the same place: Samuel Adams's grave and John Hancock's grave are both in the Granary Burying Ground, which the listing does not name as a stop. The stones there were rearranged into rows, so they do not mark the bodies, and sources give two different tomb numbers for Adams, which is why we print neither. The Old State House is not the Massachusetts State House, and nobody died inside it: the shooting happened in the street below its balcony, the five who died were Attucks, Gray, Caldwell, Maverick and Carr, Christopher Seider was shot eleven days earlier by a different man, and nobody hanged for the Massacre. And two stories you will hear are not established. The severed-hands claim about John Hancock has no documentary basis, though it is checkable that he died in 1793 and his grave went unmarked until 1896; and Dickens did not write A Christmas Carol at the Omni Parker House, whose 1855 building was demolished from November 1925.
