    McMillan House

    McMillan House

Built by Thomas McMillian in 1888, this two-story building was originally a bank and hotel. McMillian is generally acknowledged as Flagstaff’s first white settler. He was a sheepherder and rancher who homesteaded land slightly north of town known today as McMillan Mesa. Like so many of Flagstaff’s pioneers, he possessed an entrepreneurial spirit and became an active member of the settlement, shaping its laws and landscape.
